Why does it seem like fairy tales and legends all over the world always have the same narratives? Why do heroes in all cultures walk the same harsh path, full of challenges and defeats, before they reach the goal of their “Heroes Journey”? Fairy tales, they say, are so similar in all cultures, because they all spring from the collective subconscious of the human cultur(es). At the same time, legends and fairy tales change how people perceive the world around them. This powerful exchange between (meta-)humanity and their stories, the subconcious flow, which connects all living beings around the world, is the source of arcane understanding for the magic tradition of the Storyteller. They are often adepts or mages who know how to enchant their audience with their narrative art (and one or the other awakened ability). Their foremost goal, however, is to find new stories and changes in the pattern of social (sub-) cultures, to extend their magical understanding.
They love to use illusions and manipulation of people.
Their spirits take the form of fairy tale figures (though thanks to modern interpretation and that a lot of things can be stories, summoning a guardian spirit can be an anime character who fits the bill.)
